Congratulations to the Columbiettes on a successful
first Valentine’s Dinner Dance. Everyone had a
great time, especially the families who came with
their children. I would hope that all the families in
our parish would take advantage of the different
parish events that provide wholesome and safe en-
tertainment. Our Knights of Columbus will be
hosting their sixth St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance on
Saturday, March 12. I hope many of our families
will come for this enjoyable evening.
Lent is a time for introspection; a time when we
examine our lives so that we can live more for Je-
sus. When looking back, we should also be thank-
ful to God for all He has done and all He has given
us. During Lent we provide many opportunities to
draw closer to our Lord. We have a Holy Hour
every Monday from 7-8 pm. We have Stations of
the Cross and Benediction at the Martyrs Church on
Wednesdays during Lent. And we have a Holy
Hour on Fridays of Lent at 6 pm followed by Sta-
tions of the Cross at 7 pm. Let’s use the opportuni-
ties we have to deepen our faith and love of our
Blessed Lord.
In Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Frank Samoylo
