THE FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME —FEBRUARY 9, 2020

From the Desk of Our Music Director;:Megan Weeks-

Dearest St. Ed’s Congregation, My life has followed a rather circular path. As a youth, I sang in the choir at this loving church and found my voice, and confidence, as a cantor. I went off to college and I returned to St. Edward the Confessor as your Music Director. This has been a wonderful, fulfilling, experience. I have loved sharing my gifts to help bring us all closer to the Mass through music. It is time for me to go again, and I have no doubt one day the circle will bring me back here in a new way. Fret not, you have the magnificent Jackie Miller stepping in to take over. Over the past month, she and I have been working together- planning music, jointly running rehearsals, and going over the day-to-day behind the scenes business. And wow, she has got this. While every transition has its bumps, this one will be as close to smooth as possible. Remember, this is not goodbye but see you later.

Much Love, Megan Weeks
