The flag of the college is represented by three colours: Blue,White, and Red.

Blue signifies the achievements of the mind.

White stands for integrity and nobility of character.

Red denotes physical fitness and power in sports.

The College Crest represents the sun, which is the source

of light and heat, symbolizing 'Truth and Love' which is

the motto of the college. The figures and the words on the

crest inspire and motivate us to excel under the patronage

of St.Francis de Sales, who is renowned in history for his

vigorous fight for truth mingled with an ever loving heart.

The college's five principles as symbolized in the crest are

as follows:

Ÿ “Upright Character” by the outstretched finger

pointing upward.

Ÿ “Loyalty to Authority” by joined hands tilted forward.

Ÿ “Devotion to Duty” by the clenched hand.

Ÿ “Friendly Comradeship” by the handshake.

Ÿ “Social Service” by the palms opened downwards.

The college is privileged to have a Saint as its Patron in the person of Francis de Sales whose blessings and prayers the college invokes both on students and staff. The college celebrates the patron's day on 24th January every year.

St. Francis de Sales, Bishop and Doctor of the church, was born of a noble family on 21st August, 1567 at the castle of Sales, near Annecy in Savoy, France. He died at Lyons, France in 1622 on 28th December at the age of 56. Very early in life, Francis showed signs of spiritual awakening, conscious of God's

presence everywhere. He wanted to give himself to God and serve God's people. Commitment was his hall mark, a trait very much in need today. He was courageous and daring facing threats to life in a calm manner, a virtue that makes him so attractive to the young.

He was intelligent and fond of learning, he used to spend time in reflection and share his insights and knowledge with people, a man who lived for others, a rare quality that the modern world looks for. He used his wisdom for the benefit of the weak and oppressed. Francis loved to write. He wrote not for the sake of writing but to share his divine experiences with those who were in search of it. He taught how one could come closer to God while living his ordinary life of drudgery. Even today his writings inspire millions of readers. He is also the patron of journalists. Francis was known for his cheerfulness and hope marked his persona. Today his words and writings carry significance to those who find life aimless and those who are searching for meaning in life. When life becomes a burden and hope is lost St. Francis de Sales is the one to look up to and sure enough you will find peace and light.

May St. Francis de Sales bless us and inspire us to love and serve our Mother India and make this place a better place to live in.
