Our graduate nurse program has the following features:

orientation program

Structure of the graduate nurse program

The 12 month development program consists of two rotations for both registered

nurses and enrolled nurses. These will give you the opportunity to gain experiences

in the following specialties:

~ Cardiac

~ Thoracics

~ Vascular

~ General Medical

~ Respiratory

~ Transitional Care Unit

~ Colorectal

~ General Surgery

~ Gynaecology

~ Neuroscience/Neurosurgery

~ Ophthalmology

~ Orthopaedics

~ Paediatrics

~ Palliative Care/Oncology/Haematology

~ Plastics

~ ENT

~ Urology

~ Day Surgery Unit

At the end of your graduate year, you have the option to apply for a specialty

placement in the following areas:

- Theatre

- Endoscopy

- Intensive Care Unit / Coronary Care Unit

- Day Chemotherapy Unit (IVY Suite)

- Cardiac and Vascular Intervention Laboratory (Cath Lab)

The selection and recruitmentprocess includes

If you would like to join the St John of God Hospital Subiaco nursing team as a Graduate

Registered Nurse or Graduate Enrolled Nurse, log onto www.gnc.health.wa.gov.au and apply

via Graduate Nurse Connect. Only online applications will be accepted.

Programs commence in January (RN) and August (EN) each year.

- Reference checking

- 100 point identification check

- Evidence of your ability to work in Australia

- Criminal Record Screening (Police Clearance)

- Working With Children check

- Review of your academic record

Applicants must be:

- eligible for registration with the Nursing and

Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Evidence

of registration must be provided to St John of

God Hospital Subiaco before you commence our

graduate nurse programs.

- an Australian citizen or have permanent residency

status at the time of application.
