Feel free to bring a sack supper for yourself, too. Sunday School 9:45 a.m. Jr. High in room 121; Sr. High in room 125 If you get to Sunday school early (or any youth event) - feel free to hang out all together in the Youthatory (from the " Latin" word for the place between youth activities… or maybe that's not real… but that's what we called it) or room 123. Mystery Trip March 12-13 if we get sign ups, the signs ups are outside the staff offices on the youth table right now and as of today does not look like it is going to happen! Upward Sports Upward Sports Registration for Soccer Upward soccer is starting up soon in the spring and registration has begun for K4 - 6th grade boys and girls. Look for brochures located in the hallway to sign up or click here to sign up online. Drop off the completed application and fee either at the church office during regular business hours or place it the box provided on the Upward display table. Final registration deadline is this Saturday. Volunteer to Coach or Referee for Upward Soccer! We need volunteers to be coaches this season for Upward Soccer. Sign up at the Upwards Soccer display table in the SJA hallway or email Jerry Dickey at [email protected]. (No experience necessary - will train where needed.) Sunday Opportunities SJA Ash Wednesday Service We hope to see you in worship for Ash Wednesday TODAY at 7:00 p.m. Let's all start the season of Lent together as we commit to the 40 day journey of self-examination and prayer. Participating in this season of preparation will help make our Easter celebration more rich and meaningful for you than ever before. Sunday Morning for Kids Kids' Connection (9:45 a.m.) Children's Worship for K-5th grade. We begin with worship in the Sanctuary then transition after the Children's Message to the backroom. Adventure Zone (11:00 a.m.) Rotation based classes for ages 3 (since last Sept 1) through 5th grade. We meet in room 127 then break into groups for Bible study, craft, and games. the followers will meet Sunday, Feb. 21st from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We will be in room 120 and please make sure your child wears his/her green t- shirt, and brings their Bible. Like to Sing? Come join the SJA choirs as we learn this year’s Easter cantata! Wednesdays starting Feb. 17 through March 30th fr om 6:45 - 7:30 p.m. The presentation will be on Sunday April 3rd , which is the Sunday after Easter. Childcare will be provided. Click here for more information. Ink & Toner Cartridges In the past year UMW collected ink & toner cartridges and have appreciated your generosity. However, we are no longer in need of these cartridges, so please do not donate your cartridges. Get ready for a night of joy at the SJA Coffee House Saturday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m. Music, Poetry, Comedy, and ???? This is an Outreach event so consider inviting your neighbor, co-worker, Zumba friends or anyone you know. Got Talent to Share? If you have a Kindergartner, first, or second grader they are invited to come and join us for F.B.I., Faith Bible Investigators. The classes will meet Feb. 28, April 17, and May 22, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We will have pizza, a lesson, and then Nerf battle. Looking for two amazing volunteers to help teach this class, please see Mrs. Lindsey if you are interested. Note: The offerings collected in the A sh W ednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday services will benefit Kids Against Hunger at SJA. If you would like your gift to benefit the SJA General Budget, please mark it so clearly. Soccer Evaluations - This Week! Soccer season is getting started soon and if your child is participating in Upward Soccer, he or she must attend an evaluation. There are two dates: Thursday, Feb. 11, between 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, between 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. You only have to attend one. Mom’s date with her little man! Moms and sons, please join us on March 11th for a spaghetti dinner and fun minute-to-win-it games, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. There will be spaghetti, dessert, games, pictures, and a lot of fun.
