ST. JOHN VIANNEY RELIC PILGRIMMAGE The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has been selected to participate in the St. John Vianney Relic Pilgrimage. On Thursday, January 31, 2019, the relic of St. John Vianney (his entire incorrupt heart) will be in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. It will be placed there at the conclusion of the 6:45 AM Mass and remain throughout the day. The usual Mass schedule at the Cathedral (8:00 AM and 12:00 noon) will be observed and there will be a concelebrated Mass at 5:30 PM. The relic will remain in the Cathedral for a short time after Mass for private veneration (until about 7:30 PM). There will be opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation throughout the day.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION There will be no CCD Class on Sunday, January 27th due to the Catholic Schools Week Mass. CCD will resume Sunday, February 3rd. Also, February 3rd will be the CCD Mass with the 7th and 8th graders participating in the liturgy.

ANNUAL KLUB COLUMBO MEETING The Annual Klub Columbo Meeting will be Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 6:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Stoney Batter Rd. Super Bowl Party to follow the meeting.

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST The next Knights of Columbus All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast will be Sunday, January 20th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at their hall on Stoney Batter. This full menu breakfast is $9 for Adults, $4 for children (under12) and FREE for children under 6. Come and enjoy a great breakfast prepared by our Knights of Columbus.

SCOUT SUNDAY Scout Sunday will be celebrated Sunday, February 3rd at the 8:00 AM Mass. All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are encouraged to attend Mass in uniform. If have questions please contact Tom and Rachelle Weiser at 814-357-8135.

They plan to attend the 5:30 PM Mass and return back to State College and Bellefonte after Mass. The bus is FREE, but space is limited. Please call the rectory to reserve your seat 355-3134.

MEMORIALS & DONATIONS ~ We have received a donation from Frederick Saylor in memory of John T. Saylor. ~ We have received a donation from the Elizabeth Catalano Family in memory of Dolores E. “Dolly” Torsell. ~ We have also received a donation from the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in memory of Marian Wayne. ~ Additionally, we have received two donations to the Angel Fund, one in memory of Dolly Torsell from Dave & Janice Schaub, and one in memory of the Davis, Haranin, and Ivicic families from their family. GIANT A+ PROGRAM We recently earned $193.28 from Giant for the month of December. This brings our four-month total to $853.28. Every time a registered Bonuscard is used when shopping at Giant between Sept. 7 and March 16, our school earns cash. Thank you to those who have registered their Giant Bonuscards for St. John School. CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK In one week, we’ll begin our Catholic Schools Week observance, the annual celebration of what makes Catholic Schools special. We will begin the week with 10:15 Mass on Sunday, January 27, followed immediately by an Open House in our school. We invite everyone to join us in the celebration of Catholic education. KINDERGARTEN AND PRE-K REGISTRATION FOR 2019-2020 Registration forms can be found online at www.saintjohnsch.net. We will accept registration forms beginning Monday, January 28, and continuing through February 15.

Children must be five years old before September 1, 2019 to be eligible for Kindergarten. You must bring birth certifi-cate, baptismal certificate, immunization records and a $100 non-refundable fee with you to register. For more information about our Kindergarten program or to sched-ule a tour with the Principal, please call Mrs. Wendt in the school office.

Children must be three or four years old before September 1, 2019 to be eligible for the three-year-old and four-year-old Pre-K Program, respectively. Students currently en-rolled in the three-year-old Pre-K must re-register for the four-year-old class. Please be sure to bring birth certifi-cate, immunization records and a $100 non-refundable registration fee with you to register. Please call Mrs. Wendt in the school office for more information.

BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASS Our next Baptism preparation class is scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the rectory basement. This class is for first time parents from both St. John and St. Kateri parishes. Godparents are encouraged to attend. To schedule a Baptism, please call the rectory office at 355-3134. MARRIAGE PREPARATION 2019 Are you engaged and planning to be married in the Catholic Church? Congratulations! The next step is to attend Marriage Preparation classes. These required classes consist of three 2 ½ hour sessions and are led by married couples, a priest or deacon. (There are no marriage prep weekends scheduled in our diocese at this time) The cost per couple is $70. There are several classes offered in January through May in Altoona, Johnstown, Lily and Somerset. A full list of dates, places and times is online at www.dioceseaj.org.
