Festival Sign Up Weekends Mark your calendar for July 22 & 23 and July 29 & 30. Please plan on attending

one of these times to sign up to work at our parish festival. Help is needed setting

up tents, making Turtle Soup the week before the festival, workers for the day of

the festival, and clean up and take down after the festival. Please pick up your

raffle tickets at this time to help cut our mailing cost.

Chairpersons Needed We are in need of volunteers to chair the $100 Wheel and Bingo. If you can help

with either of these games, please call Nikki Hutchinson at 574-299-6515.

Bushels of Baskets The basket booth needs your help! Donations of items for baskets are currently

being accepted. If you don’t have a basket for your items, you can stop by the

parish office to pick up a basket or we can put them in a basket for you.

Plant Stand The Plant Stand is in need of pots of all sizes, plants and lawn decorations for their

booth. Clay pots are great if anyone has some to spare. Pots can be dropped off

on the front porch of the parish office. If you have any plants at home getting too

big for the pot they are in, consider splitting them and donating them to the plant

stand. Plants are not needed until the Festival.

Jars for Turtle Soup Clean quart, half gallon and gallon jars may be dropped off on the front porch of

the parish office. Please help by removing the labels and glue. Jars that are not

true quart, half gallon or gallon size cannot be used for Turtle Soup.

Need Prayer? Prayer needs are addressed in two ways at St. Louis. In the vestibule of church is a

Prayer Request Notebook where anyone, at any time, can write prayer concerns. The

Members of the Prayer and Praise Ministry commit to praying daily for these intentions.

For more urgent prayer needs (illness, surgery, etc.) there is a Prayer Chain that will get

dozens of people praying immediately. To begin the Prayer Chain, please call one of

the following:

Janice Werner, 932-9200 ; Erma Hartman, 934-3678; or Viola Fullenkamp, 934-3316

Ministry of Prayer and Praise Intentions That God will strengthen and bless America and make our nation a beacon of

liberty and justice to the world.

That God’s blessings may fall on all families gathered together for reunions or

for a time of rest.

That in this season of vacations we may find rest for body and soul in the

beauty of our woods, mountains, lakes and seacoasts, as we discover anew

God’s lavish gifts to us.

That the children of our parish may grow in grace and joy, experiencing the

warmth of God’s love for them in the setting of family life.

That those whom God is calling to the priesthood and religious life may

respond eagerly in faith and generosity, and find support in their families and

friends. That all who suffer from terminal illness may find strength in their oneness

with Christ dying on His cross and in the compassionate love of His Mother

who stood close to Him to the end.

The Great Adventure: Bible Timeline Study Program

9:00-10:30am—Fridays

starting August 11th

An evening class will be added if there is

enough interest.

Jeff Cavins developed The Great Adventure to

enable people to grasp the big picture of the Bible.

By reading the narrative books, a chronological story

emerges. The Bible Timeline program teaches the story in a way

that is easy to remember and helps people to continue reading

Scripture on their own. This study seeks to draw people into a

transformative relationship with Jesus Christ. It provides a solid

foundation for all other reading and study.

Come join us as we discover “the big picture” of God’s

plan in Scripture, see our place in that plan and live it

out in our lives.

The study consists of Bible reading, reflective discussion and a

video lecture by Jeff Cavins.

Call the Parish Office at 934-3204 to register

or for more information.
