Toyin Akinola Director of Transportation June 10, 2019 Dear Parent/Guardian We are excited to announce that the new bus tracking App, FirstView, a school bus tracking system that will allow you to monitor the location of your child’s bus to and from school and set up distance or time zone to your child’s stop. The FirstView App is available for download on Google Play Store or Apple Store. In order to take advantage of the service, you will need to set up an account on the FirstView Parent App (See link to setup page) After setting up a username (preferably your email address) and password for yourself and entering your contact information, you will receive a confirmation email. Please follow the directions to “add a student.” You must select your state and school district to add the student to your profile. Please contact 314-345-4469 or 314-633-5107 for your student ID number required for the set up. This pilot only includes four (4) schools. Therefore, if you have additional children in SLPS, their buses may not be tracked at this time. Based on the results of this pilot, we hope to eventually offer the system districtwide. FirstView pulls student address information from the Student Information System (SIS), so if you move or change your phone number please follow the normal protocol and update it with your school secretary. Adjusting your contact information in FirstView will not alter your child’s bus route or update your information with the District. Our department looks forward to launching this pilot beginning August 13, 2019, so we can provide you with fast, dynamic, real-time information about your child’s bus as he or she travels from school.
