Skate Night A BIG Thank You to the MPTO for

sponsoring the Spring Skate Night at

Skate Zone. The students, staff, and

parents had a great time and enjoyed

skating with their friends.

3rd grade Fieldtrip 3rd grade had a shocking and hair-raising

experience on their field trip to the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora. Two cool scientists did experiments with electricity and the states

of matter. There was also a play-zone with hands-on science activities to try. We really

liked the interactive video game, the big bubble maker, and the balloon pop station. Our

favorite part was when "Mad Scientist Guy" blew up not one, but TWO hydrogen filled balloons! We ended our day with a picnic

lunch and playtime at a local park. Thanks to all the parents who came and enjoyed the day

with us.

Thank you to the parents and community members that attended the

MPTO Meeting on Monday night to discuss the possibilities of an upcoming

Fall Festival. With such a great turn out and wonderful ideas, we think that

this will be a successful and exciting event that will bring the community

together. The festival will be scheduled in September with a specific date

coming soon.

To make the Fall Festival run smoothly, the MPTO is looking for volunteers

that would like to chair the following committees with support from the

MPTO and administration. If you are interested please let Angela

Beekman, Sandy Streeter, or Mrs. Dolliver know what you would like to help

with.

Promotion & Advertising

Prizes

Concessions/Food

Special Events/Attractions

Raffles

If you cannot chair a committee at this time, we will be looking for

volunteers and helpers to provide additional support prior to and during

the festival.

Thank you in advance for helping support MPTO and Malcolm Public

Schools.

"Thank you to Jill England and Kealie Thomas for helping out on the 6th grade "mini" field trip and to Lecia

Teten for her excellent presentation on recycling."

Summer Camps

Football and Basketball Camp information will be going home

with all 3-7 graders on Friday,

May 11th. These camps will be run on the same 3 days this

summer. July 16th, 17th, and 18th from 2pm to 5pm. If you

have any questions please contact Coach Amen or Coach

Pritchett.

MPTO Meeting The next MPTO Meeting is scheduled for Monday,

May 14th at 6:00 in the Westfall Commons Area.

(Please note the change in time from 6:30 to

6:00)

The 2012 Westfall Elementary Track and Field and Fun Day was a huge success. The students had so

much fun and enjoyed a variety of events and fun day activities. Awesome job to all the K-6 students on

a great day and there is definitely going to be some great track athletes in the years to come.

Also a BIG Thank You to Mr. Tobey and all the MPS Staff for making things run smoothly.
