The Chaplet of Divine Mercy Besides granting complete forgiveness of sins and punishment to the soul that would go to Confession before and receive Holy Commun-ion on Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus taught St. Faustina the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which is prayed on ordinary rosary beads. He told her: “My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet” (Diary, 1541). Those who pray the Chaplet for the sick and dying during adoration or for the pro-life cause receive apostolic blessings from Saint John Paul II. Copies of the chaplet will be distributed and prayed at SMMC 15 minutes before the Masses on Divine Mercy Sunday weekend (April 7-8). There will also be a bilingual celebration of the Hour of Great Mercy, a holy hour from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the church. La Coronilla a la Divina Misericordia Además de conceder el perdón completo del los pecados y su castigo al alma que se confiese y reciba la Santa Comuníon el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia, Jesús le enseño a la Hna. Faustina la Coronilla de la Divina Misericordia, la cual se reza en las cuentas normales del rosario. El le dijo: “Hija Mía, anima a las al-mas a rezar la coronilla que te he dado. A quienes recen esta coronilla, Me com-plazco en darles lo que Me pidan” (Diario, 1541). Para aquellos quienes recitan la Coronilla para los enfermos y moribundos durante la Adoración o por pro-vida, reciben bendiciónes de San Juan Pablo II. Copias de la coronilla se distribuirán en la iglesia, la cual se rezará 15 minutos antes de las misas el fin de semana del Do-mingo de la Divina Misericordia (Abril 27 y 28). INCENSE TO BE USED AT THE EASTER LITURGIES Please be aware that incense will be used at the liturgies throughout the Easter Season. SAVE THE DATE! - “ROAR VBS” will be hosted at St. Margaret Mary from July 22nd – 26th. At Roar, kids will discover that God is good even when life gets wild! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Wild Bible Adventures and much, much more. Roar is for kids ages 4 years to 5th Grade and will run from 9:00 am to noon each day. Many volunteers are needed! By assisting and visiting our neighbors we have helped to secure housing, keep their utilities on, provided nourishment, and helped to relieve the stress of facing difficult situations. Scholarship Deadline Knights of Columbus, Council 7600 of St. Margaret Mary Church will be awarding two (2), $500 educational scholarships this spring 2019. Students who will be 2019 high school graduates, or who are 21 years or younger and are attending college, university, business school, trade school, or seminary are eligible to compete for these scholarships. VBS NEEDS YOU! The Vacation Bible School Ministry is in need of a new Ministry Leader. We are looking for someone that is organized and is comfort-able working with adults and teen volunteers. This ministry leader will organize a one-week experience of learning, prayer and fun for our parish children, usually scheduled during the summer vacation. This year’s VBS is scheduled to take place the week of July 22nd – 26th. Parent/teen volunteers make this event fun and successful. Some preparation is necessary prior to the event.
