To the St. Mary Parish Community,
Your warm welcome for Fr. Michael and me, when we came to preach about the Franciscan Challenge, was truly an example of the wonderful Franciscan hospitality for which your community is known.
Your care and support of the Franciscan Friars who serve you now, and those to come in the future, is evidence of the love you have for those who have served you in the past.
Thank you for your participation in our annual Provincial fundraising event. Your gift ensures that the Franciscan spirit will endure in our world and in our church.
Thank you for supporting the Friars and the people that we serve. You make our Love at Work possible for so many in need!
A special thank you to Fr. Gonzalo and all the friars, who faithfully serve this community, for welcoming us in such a wonderful, fraternal way.
Many blessings,
Fr. David Convertino, OFM Executive Director Office of Development The Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province

Dear Parishioners,
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! Alleluia!
The St. Mary’s Annual Fund Drive is vital for the life and nourishment of our more than 70 ministries, including our Food Pantry, Outreach Ministry, Soup Kitchen, Special Needs Ministry, Hispanic Ministry, Saint Mary’s School, and Religious Education and Youth Ministry for more than 1,600 children and teenagers. As you know we do a great deal of good works at St. Mary’s and all of that work is due to your generosity. We count on the Annual Fund to be able to continue our Christian and Franciscan Mission. Our goal this year is $325,000. If each family participates with $100, we would reach our goal in a month. If you con-tributed to our Annual Fund in the past years, can you please consider increasing your donation? If you have never made a gift to the Annual Fund, please take some time to pray about it and realize that it is more than a gift; it is a commitment to the ongoing life of our common home, Saint Mary’s Parish. Please see the pledge card below. You can fill it out and put it in the collection basket. You will also receive a letter regarding the Annual Fund. On behalf of the friars and the staff, I thank you for your generosity and for your commitment to St. Mary’s Mission.

ST. MARY’S MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM As of July 2019, The Medical Assistance Program will reduce the evenings of operation to twice a month, usually the second and fourth Monday evening, from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Carnevale Center. Please check the bulletin for exact dates. The Medical Assistance Program was established in 2001 with the vision of providing basic primary care, preventive health and referral to appropriate services for those in our parish and surrounding communities who could not otherwise afford those services. Since 2001, the weekly Monday evening sessions have been staffed by physicians, nurses and translators who have voluntarily provided these services. We are actively trying to recruit more Physicians and/or Advance Practice Nurses from our parish and the surrounding community in order to be able to continue our program. The commitment is 2-3 hours once a month on a Monday evening. For further information about Physician or Advance Practice Nurse volunteers, or the program in general, please contact: Robert Amoruso, MD 973-668-7469 or Martin Neilan, MD 973-919-4849
