or a hospital.

si conoce de algún feligrés incapacitado(a) en su casa,
hospitalizado o en un asilo de ancianos.
BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism and
children under 7 years old is as follows:
Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that
appointment the whole process will be explained.
Godparents must be practicing Catholics, be over 16 years
of age, and have the sacraments of Baptism, First
Communion and Confirmation and live their lives
according to the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/
she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil
marriage is not enough.
Proof of Confirmation and Marriage by the Church. The
godparents must bring their Confirmation, and Church
Marriage certificate (if they are married).
When all relevant documents are received the dates will be
given to attend the Baptismal Parent Class, the
Presentation in the Church, the class for parents and
godparents and the date of the baptism.
BAUTISMO - (Español) El proceso para el bautismo de
infantes y niños menores de siete años es el siguiente:
Los padres llaman a la oficina para solicitar una cita. En
esa cita se explicará todo el proceso.
Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes, tener más de
16 años y tener los sacramentos del bautismo, la Primera
Comunión y la Confirmación, y vivir sus vidas de acuerdo
con las enseñanzas de Cristo y su Iglesia.
Los padrinos pueden ser solteros. Si la persona tiene
pareja, debe estar casado(a) por la Iglesia. La unión libre o
el matrimonio civil no es suficiente.
Prueba de Confirmación y Matrimonio de la Iglesia. Los
padrinos deben traer su certificado de Confirmación y el
certificado de matrimonio de la iglesia (si es casado(a).
Cuando se reciban todos los documentos relevantes, se
darán las fechas para asistir a la Clase Bautismales para los
Padres, la Presentación en la Iglesia, la clase para padres y
padrinos y la fecha del bautismo.

school parking lot or by appointment.

SPANISH MARRIAGE COURSE
Today, Sunday, June 28th we complete the
Spanish Marriage Course. The couples
who finished the course will participate of a one
day mini-retreat that begins at 10:00 a.m. until
approximately 6:30 p.m.

Memorial Masses We will have the next Memorial Mass for the relatives of those people who died during the time of the pandemic and could not have a funeral Mass. ST. MARY-IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CEMETERIES AND CHAPEL MAUSOLEUM
We are blessed to have a Catholic cemetery and Mausoleum in our city of Lawrence. The Catholic Cemetery is a HOLY PLACE:
- It is holy, blessed ground for the resting place of our beloved dead.
-There are Masses offered throughout the year for the eternal repose of those buried in the cemetery or Mausoleum.
-It is a place of PRAYER and reflection where you can visit and pray the rosary or the Stations of the Cross.
-It’s the only cemetery in the area that has a MONUMENT TO THE UNBORN.
-It’s the only cemetery in the area that has a MONUMENT for the DECEASED HOMELESS of our city.
-Its streets are filled with names from the Gospels: St. Luke, St. Matthew, Gethsemane…
-We are the only cemetery that has a MAUSOLEUM that is used in winter for services.*
When facing the event of the death of a beloved member of your family or friends, please remember the importance of burying them in a CATHOLIC CEMETERY rather than elsewhere.
*Please also remember that there is flexibility and we do allow families with a waiver to go to graveside to see the casket be lowered during winter, since this is a beloved tradition especially in the Hispanic community.
*If there are financial considerations, we are also open for a conversation.

En la ocasión de la muerte de un ser querido de su familia o amigos por favor recuerde la importancia de enterrarlos en un CEMENTERIO CATÓLICO en lugar de en otro lugar.
* Recuerde también que hay flexibilidad y permitimos que las familias (con un “waiver”) vayan a la tumba para ver bajar el ataúd durante el invierno, ya que esta es una tradición muy querida, especialmente en la comunidad hispana.
