The St. Mary’s Altar Society held their annual
Christmas Luncheon on Dec 2nd and were pleased
to report having profited over $5,000 at the turkey
dinner. Thank you all who helped in any way. They
noted that oval crock pots are needed for the take-
out room next year. Thanks to Doris Hickman for
donating one. If you’d like to donate a crock pot,
let Milly or Cathy know or bring by the parish
office.
A box has been placed in the back of the church for
gifts for nursing home patients. Their wishes in-
clude seek and find puzzle books, socks, lotion, and
candy. If you wrap your gifts please mark man or
woman on them. Gifts will taken after Masses Dec
16th.
Music Notes: In preparation for Christmas Eve,
choir practice will be December 15 and 22 at
3:00 p.m. If you can't make it to practice, no
worries, please join us for 9 p m. Mass.
Christmas Day Mass is at 8 a.m. and a song leader
is needed. Please contact Beth Saunders (573-248
-9282) if you are available.
If any CCD students would be interested in playing
their band instrument at Sunday Mass please con-
tact Beth. We would like to set a Sunday each
month for them to play.

Join us to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady Guadalupe &
Fr. Simeon’s Birthday
On Dec 12th the K-8th Youth Group will be Christmas
Caroling at the Villa & SRCC. We will leave the FBC after
dinner at 5:45. All parishioners are welcome to join us!
At 7pm, we will return to the church to host “Our Lady
of Guadalupe” Holy Hour. A brief explanation of the
miracle that took place near Mexico City will be read
followed by the rosary, and singing of “Hail Mary, Gen-
tle Woman.” Hot chocolate & dessert will be provided
in the basement after Holy Hour, a traditional custom
on this feast Day in Mexico, as well as to celebrate Fr.
Simeon’ birthday, also on Dec 12th!
“Mug of Music”
The first Shelby County Community Band Concert will be held
at the First Christian Church on Sun. Dec 9th at 2pm. Bring a
mug and choose from a variety of soups to fill it.
GLOW Photo Raffle
Raffle tickets are on sale now to purchase from our middle
school youth group. They kids have photographed a variety
of Catholic sites and are framing the winners choice. All pro-
ceeds are going to purchase Christmas gifts for area foster
children.
