The Parish of St. Maximilian Kolbe—Praying for the Needs of Our Neighbours Please pray for the residents of: Halton Brook Avenue and Vista Road Sea Sunday Sea Sunday 2018 will be celebrated on Sunday 8th July. Sea Sunday is when we have the opportunity to remember and pray for seafarers, their families and all who support them. On Sea Sunday a retiring collection will be taken with all funds raised going to the Apostleship of the Sea to support their work. Envelopes are available at the back of church. Mary’s Meals The Parish has recently received a letter of thanks for a donation of £160.00 which has been raised by the Prayer Group, and given to Mary’s Meals. This money will be used to provide life -changing meals for children in their place of education. National Eucharistic Congress—Volunteers Needed The organisers of the Eucharistic Congress in Liverpool in September are planning to hand out “goody” bags for delegates. They are looking for volunteers to help fill these bags on the Thursday before the congress (6th September). If any parish groups or individuals would be willing to help with this, please see Fr. Peter. More details will be available nearer the time. The Dowry of Mary Pilgrimage Triduum During the course of 2018 to 2020 the statue of Our Lady from the Slipper Chapel at the Catholic National Shrine in Walsingham will be taken to each Cathedral in England for a three- day triduum of prayer, as part of the preparation for the re-dedication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020. Each visit will take place between a Thursday and Saturday. The statue will visit Liverpool - Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King 21st to 23rd June 2018.
