Dear Parents, Thank you for your patience and care in our car park during the current church renovations. Although parking has been limited, the children have been able to safely use the drop off and pick up lane and this has ensured as little disruption as possible. I would ask, however, that drivers do not relocate or move bollards as these have been strategically placed to maintain a steady flow of traffic. It was great to see so many parents at our Parents and Friends AGM on Tuesday. There were a number of new faces as well as those that have been supporting the school over the last few years. During the night we had the opportunity to evaluate the Pancake Tuesday event at the start of the year as well as share some new suggestions for 2018. At the moment the P&F are raising funds by running the Easter Raffle and I would encourage you to support the school by purchasing some tickets if you can. There are a number of prizes available and these are on display in the window near the basketball courts. A big thank you to the P&F for organising this raffle. Today we had our first school tours for 2018 and this was a great opportunity for new families to view our school. Our Prep Information night is on Tuesday the 20th March at 7.00pm and it is important that all families with a child starting prep in 2019 attend this event. On this night you will have the chance to book an enrolment interview as well as collect enrolment information. If you already have a child at St Peter’s, you will still need to complete an enrolment form and attend an interview. Please pass this information on to family and friends who are interested in 2019 Prep enrolments. We recognise that the warm weather may still be with us at the start of term 2 and therefore the children may continue to wear summer uniform, including hats for the first two weeks of the term. However if the weather is cool, we expect parents to make a sensible decision and send their children to school in winter uniform. This transition time from summer uniform to winter uniform is for the first two weeks of the term and it is expected that all children will be in FULL WINTER UNIFORM by Monday, 30th April.

Lent - Week 5 - from Death to Life

John 2: 20 - 33

The Word: Jesus said, “ I tell you truly, a grain of wheat remains no more than one grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. Then it produces many grains. Those who love their own life will lose it; those who hate their own life in this world will keep it for life eternal.”

Spread It : Find a seeding plant (eg: Herbs) Talk about how as the plant dies, the seeds spread to produce many more plants.

Prayer: Father, Help us to be like Jesus. Change our selfishness into self giving and bring us to eternal life. Amen.

The SunSmart Policy has now changed, and your children will now be required to wear their hats until the end of April 2018. This is to comply with the new SunSmart laws, as UV levels can be quite high in between those months. We ask that you please remind your children to bring their hat for Monday. They will need them for break times and P.E lessons.
