A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAT Dear St. Pius X Community, As we celebrate Palm Sunday, many of us have walked the road Jesus walked and celebrated Mass at Garden of Gethsemane. Albert and Terri had a bag with us with inten ons from the group and sent with us. It was amazing to celebrate the Eucharist so close to where Jesus once walked. When we landed I was sure this was my last trip, but a er the first day, I knew I needed to come here o en to make sure as many of you can experience this as possible. Our tour guide who has a PhD is a Chris an living there and knew a great deal about Biblical Archeology. One of my biggest surprises was the number of places we know for sure. We know so much more than I thought we did and when he was telling us why we know what we know, it was amazing. Some of the things I learned about our “friends” the Israelis, not so amazing. Please look at the Holy Week Schedule. We have many celebra ons and want to assure that you don’t miss out. The Triduum is one con nuous liturgy. We start on Holy Thursday and finish with the Easter Vigil. I encourage all of you to a end these celebra ons as they add so much to our experience of Easter. I understand the Vigil is long and with kids it is a challenge, which is why we have all the Sunday Celebra ons. Thanks to all the musicians, ministers, and environment people that make this coming week’s celebra ons so amazing. Thanks to Kevin, Jeff, E. J., Chet, and the Knights that helped staff along with the youth and helped make the fish fries a huge success! They will be back next year, bigger and be er! A blessed Holy Week to all! In Him, Fr. Pat

We ask all of the St. Pius X Community to keep the following elect in prayer as they prepare during this last part of Lent to be fully ini ated into the Catholic Church and receive the Sacraments of Bap sm, Confirma on, and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil: Catechumens: Opal Drake, Nicole Lopez, Bobby Eaton, Samantha Tijerino, Carlos Pereyfeeth

Candidates: Melissa Cavanaugh, Audrey Villanueva, Aaron Mello , Miguel Saldana

Sunday, April 1 - Easter Sunday

Hello Everyone! We welcome Jesus to the Holy City of Jerusalem with enthusiasm. It was such when it first happened many centuries ago. Scriptures relate that it was the children who most welcomed Jesus. Jesus himself told us; “If you do not become like children you will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Mathew 18:13) This week we will celebrate the most important moments of the life of Christ and with it we become part of God’s plan. Accep ng this message of Christ with an open heart is part of becoming children: obediently acknowledging the dependence from God and his absolute kingship over us cons tute the core of our Chris an faith. As we have witnessed it many mes, some people don’t want to accept the Gospel precisely because it renders void their securi es and personal idols. When we think that nothing is more important than Christ we become children and then we become part of the Kingdom of God. We welcome you Jesus! Viva Christo Rey!
