DAY 1 + 2 + 3 SCHEDULE

I am very excited to present StaffExpo 2016. Over the next three days we will explore the theme of What if? Why not? This builds on our previous theme of Listening to our voice: rethinking our community and provides us with an opportunity to consider what the future could look like for teaching and learning in a local and global context.

StaffExpo 2016 will explore the meanings, contexts and purposes of community by focussing on the questions What if? and Why not?

What if we were to seek the best in each other?

Why not reshape our practices?

StaffExpo 2016 brings together a range of speakers who will assist us in looking at innovative ways by which we can “grow” people with a clear sense of meaning and purpose who have the skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing world.

Join with me as we journey through StaffExpo 2016!

MR JUSTIN LANGER Until the announcement of his retirement from test cricket in 2007 Justin was one of Australia’s great top-order batsmen. Originally a number three, he moved to opener in 2001 and played 105 tests scoring 7,696 runs. Few have worn the baggy green with greater pride. Justin formed a hugely successful opening partnership, which ranks as the best in Australian history and featured six double centuries. His highest test score of 250 in a Boxing Day test at the MCG, was one of three double centuries scored during his test career. His tally of 23 tests centuries saw him overtake former cricket icons Ian Chappell, Neil Harvey and Doug Walters.

In 2004 Justin was the highest run maker in world cricket with a total of 1,481 runs. In 2009 whilst

playing county cricket in the UK he surpassed Don Bradman as the most prolific batsman in Australian cricket history with a total of 28,068 first class runs. Justin was named as a Member of the Order of Australia (A.M.) in the 2008 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. 2009 saw him appointed Assistant Coach of the Australian cricket team and in 2012 he achieved a lifelong dream when he was approached to take on the role as Coach of Western Australia (Western Warriors & Perth Scorchers).
