District Strategic Plan Leading Indicator Targets Secondary (BOE Monitoring – Dec 9, Feb 24, May 12, July 22)

Graduation exit criteria – By August 2015, 90% of the 2015 cohort will graduate from the Greece Central

School District. The official graduation metrics are released by the New York State Education Department in 2016.

Common Core Algebra (New Assessment) – The baseline data for the Common Core Regents exam will be established at

the conclusion of the 2014-15 school year.

9th grade credit accrual – By August 2015, 95% of 9th grade students will accrue at least six credits as

evidenced by course credits attained and reported in the Greece Central data management system.

Grade 8 exit criteria for middle schools – By June 2015, 42% of students will be proficient on the New York State 8th

grade language assessment. – By June 2015, 20% of students taking the Math 8 assessment will be proficient

on the New York State Assessments. These data exclude the students who are accelerated and enrolled in Common Core Algebra.

District Strategic Plan Leading Indicator Targets Elementary (BOE Monitoring – Dec 9, Feb 24, May 12, July 22)

Grade 5 exit criteria for elementary schools – By June 2015, 33% of students will be proficient

on the New York State 5th grade language assessment.

– By June 2015, 46% of students will be proficient on the New York State 5th grade math assessment.

Beginning Grade 3 reading – By fall 2014, 70% of students will be at or above

grade level as measured by the AimsWeb assessment.

– By June 2015, OFR’s will decrease by 8% as evidenced by data recorded in Infinite Campus and SWIS warehouse.

– By June 2015, attendance will improve 5% for students missing less than 5% of school days.

State Growth Score

• NYSED provides a growth score for grades 4-8 teachers. This counts as 20% of the final evaluation - local measures account for the other 80%.

• These data provide additional information for targeted interventions.

• Based on these growth measures, we have targeted three schools to provide additional support in curriculum, instruction and assessment.

General Observations • ELA results across the state and Greece remained fairly flat

• Gains were most evident at grades 3 and 4

• Black and Latino students performed slightly better in 2013-14

• Special education students performed slightly better in 2013-14

• Largest gains in last two years – Brookside

Focused Interventions • Enhanced Teaching and Learning walks will focus

on specific students and teachers by face and name.

• Schools will participate in “Greece Stat”. This structure will require schools to participate in Data Driven protocols to discover academic trends and the impact of interventions on student performance.

• The Turnaround Principal will focus on grade 9 credit accumulation and grade 12 graduation.

• Lead principals, representing K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 will serve as liaisons to ensure schools have adequate resources to align their work to the EnVision Greece 2017.

• Superintendent (ODY/OLY) and Deputy Superintendent (AR/AT) will each adopt two schools to enhance communication and accountability for grades 6-12.
