Up until today there are a lot of students who have not

been following even the simplest rules of grooming in their

schools, especially those male students who are still in high

school. Some of their doings are improper haircut, improper

wearing of uniforms, unauthorized wearing of jewelry (ex.

Earrings, piercings, etc…) to name a few. Proper etiquette

these days pertaining to proper grooming around a school

campus is strictly implemented with corresponding

sanctions, considerations, exceptions and etc… and yet

why do they still don’t follow rules?

Page 5: Statistics2

• We decided to get an answer by having gathering real

time data from actual people through surveys. There

must be reasons as to why these are still happening set

aside the personal attitude, money constraints, family

matters of the individual and etc., not every kid have

those. There are factors aside from these things that are

at work. There must be central ones that make up all of

these.

Page 6: Statistics2

• It is in the attitude of the students to follow or not, the

rules and regulations of the school. Every students has

different perception of grooming, some students are

obedient, others are not. Students now a days are very

conscious of what they are wearing, that’s why it affects

the rules and regulations written on the handbook.

Page 7: Statistics2

• By this study we hope to understand better the changes

the youth undergoes per era.

• To lessen the students’ resistance when being sanction

for offending such rules.

• To have a tangible number of the cases which will

eventually help in the study of this research.

• To identify which grooming rule does students disobey

the most.

• To identify what causes them to disregard such rules

• To help the authorities into better understanding the view

point of the students.

Page 8: Statistics2

By doing this study we do not only become informed but

also we get to help authorities in the future to better

implement their rules. Which we hope does lessen the

students’ resistance when being sanction for offending the

rules and create a much harmonius and appropriate

relationship between the students and authorities.

• Scope: Our study will cover mostly the most important

numerical information that are all related to the topic.

Giving statistical data from surveyed areas.

• Limitation: This study will not cover any other offenses

made by students that is written in the handbook. This

research only aims to give data to help the users have a

solid information that can be used effectively in drawing

out the conclusion.

The samples are gathered from all the sections from the

College of Fine Arts and Design. Eight (8) samples per

population will be asked to answer the survey.

Samples will be gathered according to their

section, according to their gender which is four (4) male

students and four (4) female students per section.

And lastly, according to their dress codes in class.

This method is used to understand why the students still

choose to wear different kinds of uniforms even though the

school has laid out a set of rules for them to follow.

After this survey, the results will be tabulated and analyzed.

Page 14: Statistics2

We will use the simple random sampling method in

collecting the data we will gather wherein we first classified

the items in population into separate sub-groups.

The population will be then classified by gender. After

that, we will ask them to answer our survey.

In computing the data, we will use averaging as our

procedure. This is the process wherein we will tally the

answers of our interviews classifying it whether they

choose to follow or not to follow the school regulations.

The result will determine what percentage of their daily

basis they keep to the rules, and which kind of regulation

they do not follow.
