McClain Laboratories (Montreaux II – III)
Hands- On Biopsy Workshop: Why Podiatrists Should Biopsy More Frequently
Steven McClain, MDPodiatrists do not biopsy often enough, a risky practice in our opinion. Skin biopsy under local anesthetic, readily done in the podiatrist’s office and sent to a pathologist for microscopic diagnosis, is the preferred method. We will explore common skin disorders and diseases of the leg and foot. Clinical implications for biopsy, as well as the risks and advantages for these biopsy techniques will also be discussed. Participants will practice punch and shave biopsy techniques on pig skin.
Saorsa (Montreaux I)
Swift Workshop: Harnessing the Power of Microwaves
Alec Hochstein, DPM, FASPSGet up close and personal with Swift, the revolutionary immune therapy that uses low dose microwave energy to target the HPV virus. Warts have long been a problem lacking in effective and reliable treatment options. With over 50,000 treatments now delivered globally with efficacy of 80+%, Swift is setting a new standard. Facilitated by Alec Hochstein and the people at Saorsa. Attend this workshop to learn how Swift innovation can impact your practice.
