T.B.Seen London, UK

Imagine a friend that makes you laugh, loves a good natter and, most importantly, saves you

money every time you spend. That’s TBSeen! A cash back web site that offers unbeatable deals

on thousands of high street and high-end brands encased in great, entertaining, informative

content.

I worked with TBSeen from its inception (indeed I named the company) as both Executive

consultant and creative director; working with the founders to source, appoint, brief and

manage all creative agencies as well as creative direct - designing and creating the branding, colour systems, typography, web site, social

media campaigns and copywriting.

Executive consultant, creative director: Naming, brand identity design, creative direction, marketing and

digital strategy

Loro Piana Milan, Italy

I worked with unit9 as Creative director and brand consultant with Loro Piana; the luxury Italian fashion and

lifestyle brand.

We created a fully e-commerce (Flash! - don’t ask) web site and web-based app a long with a native app for mac and

Android.

The site consisted of a Loro Piana‘Brand World’ experience with over 60 pieces of bespoke content created and

produced by us. Ranging from infomercials, location-shot films, stop frame animations, interactive games, photograph;

you name it, we created it.

I worked with artists from Brazil, Poland and Italy to create bespoke water-colour illustrations for various scenes of

content and animations within the web site.

CROS London, UK

I was commissioned by a Personal Trainer to name and design an identity for their business. As an active runner, cyclist, swimmer I jumped/

ran/swam at the chance.

It quickly became clear that more ideas were aligning to form something bigger. Having come up with the name and identity I also proposed an

idea for an app. CROS app will help provide training tips, and workouts, but it’s primary

function is to provide users with great routes to run, cycle, mountain bike or hike near to their

current location, using sophisticated GeoLocation services and Maps.

Proscen Bergen, Norway

The first of many new projects with Proscen - a theatre production company in Norway.

First project: a new company brochure to celebrate what they do, how they do it, where, when and with

who. The challenge - bring to the forefront a company whose speciality is behind the scenes…

I worked directly with the founder on establishing a concept. We experimented with lots of ideas and formats, but decided upon this beautiful A5 ‘black book’, showcasing their best work using colour to

bring it to life. Making Proscen the centre throughout; starting with a printed band on the cover which runs

throughout the brochure.

Ramseur Records NC., USA

www.ramseurrecords.com

We launched a new, responsive web site and brand identity system for North Carolina based Ramseur Records; an independent record label

and artist management company.

We are currently working on the next evolution of this web site. The following pages feature the

current work.

How do you present a three week discovery phase for a new web site project

to a record label/artist management client in the US whose passion in life is

music and making great art?

You write. You sketch. You think. You write some more. You source a company

(on ebay, in the US) who sell blank white 7″ sleeves.

You layout each sections content as an insert like the lyrics of the track. You

give each section titles like album tracks, and time-codes based on how long it

takes you to read it. You add little sleeve notes ‘Lyrics by…’ (just for fun).

You get four A2 posters of your inspiration and vision printed and folded. You

personally make each of the ten sleeves like your own demo vinyl using

Letraset.

You package it all up in a plastic cover and Fed-Ex it to them and hope they

love it half as much as you did making it.

Norton Way London, UK

I have been working with this company for three years on developing a host of new products and

communication literature.

We have designed and built a web site launching for a new Kia dealership. Alongside the web site I

am also consulting and creative directing marketing materials and social media for the new

dealership.

I am redesigning their monthly newsletters and have recently helped bolster their social media

channels; starting with a complete audit.

Plan-B Studio is a digital brand consultancy, established in 2001. It is a name representing Steve Price and his network of brilliant, talented individuals and agencies he partners with a unified love of creativity and problem solving.

Whether it is the food we cook, the home we make, the insights we research or the friendships around us, we believe in two main ingredients; love and support.

We believe in being free of jargon, and more importantly; ego. We dislike acronyms and ‘business-speak’ because it leads to misunderstanding and only fuels confusion. We don’t believe in endless emails or meetings for meetings sake. We choose simple language and approaches to work, with just a bit of humour and cheek thrown in.

Business is about relationships, and like any good relationship or project–you only get out what you put in. We invest ourselves completely, the results - we hope, speak for themselves.

About Plan-B Studio Est.2001

Page 31: StevePrice_Creds2016

My name is Steve Price, I started from a traditional graphic designer background and Plan-B Studio is my company. As the industry, technology and human behaviour has evolved I’ve adapted as a design practitioner and consultant for design, branding, digital and strategy for clients in the UK, US, Europe and Japan as well as teaching and keynote speeches across the globe.

I try to avoid jargon, and more importantly, free of ego. I dislike acronyms; they usually only create confusion. Simple language and approaches to work, with just a bit of humour and cheek thrown in. I usually ask questions that others might describe as ‘obvious’; but it is these questions that are usually avoided for fear of looking or sounding foolish. I’d rather ask.I live my time 50/50 between Norway and London because my son lives in Norway. Like any proud parent I am dedicated to his happiness and that drives my passion and determination to do a good job.

I also dislike fresh coriander - I know, I know.
