SUPPORTED AMENITIES THROUGH THE NEXT STEP PROGRAM

THE NEXT STEP PROGRAM

Women sometimes stay in abusive relationships because they are

financially dependent on their partner. The Next Step’s interest-free

microloans gives women experiencing domestic violence the freedom

and confidence to say, “Enough!”

The Next Step provides individuals, primarily mothers and their

children experiencing domestic violence with a Hand Up not a

handout. In partnership with 34 agencies across the Greater Toronto

Area, the Next Step lifts women and their children out of domestic

violence, into safe homes through our microfinancing program.

We provide more than financial security, we build resilience and

improve the quality of life across the communities we serve.

Introducing individuals to training programs, employment

opportunities, counseling services and other means required to live

a budding life. With every person we meet, we break the cycle of

violence, restore a new life and build safe communities.
