The Sunis an ever-present and most sustainable energy source.

The mobiledevice is a tool we need to communicate and organise

our daily lives. It is a bare necessity.

Strawberry Treegathers the solar energy and delivers it to you.

That is why we say it is a peace of Sun in your pocket. It is a

solar-based charger and Wi-Fi station; ideal for public spaces.

Strawberry Minidoes the same wherever Strawberry Tree cannot

reach. It is light and portable. It comes with an educational

application where one can pass the time while recharging device

and learn about renewable energy and sustainability issues.

Smartphone app

Both of these solar chargers are linked to a smartphone app that

informs you:

When your battery is less than 20% charged;

Where is the nearest Strawberry solar charger;

Finally, it tells you how much energy you have saved, expressed in

CO2 emissions or some other environmental footprint indicator.

The Userscan then satisfy their personal need for communication

but also communicate amongst each other, compare their results

and contribute to joint virtual energy-saving efforts on our website.

The websiteis the heart of the ecosystem that each Strawberry

Tree regularly reports to. There one can at any point see the en-vironmental contribution of a community, energy and CO2 saved

etc. Whereas individual efforts might be small victory, we calculate

all the efforts helping our users see that they are not alone, thus

building a community that motivates and supports the users in

their small steps towards sustainability.

One small step for a single user and a bigger step for a community

of users. With a sole Strawberry Tree we can bring solar energy to

1 million people within 5 years.

Our solution is

We are solving a fundamentally social problem: contemporary

communications dependency on technology. Furthermore,

the design itself fosters communication between users while

recharging their respective devices and the smartphone appand the website take this one step further making it into a

system that users return to.

Hence, it is perfectly suitable for urban redesign projects as

Strawberry Tree

The Strawberry Tree is a socially-oriented, solar-based charger

and Wi-Fi station where people gather to recharge their portable

devices in city squares, streets, cafes, parks, and any other place

with sunlight. Strawberry Tree provides convenience and social

connectedness to users, signicant energy power savings for

municipalities and companies, and provides an innovative

ad-platform for advertisers.

Strawberry Tree offers you a revolutionary way of reaching your

customers and harnessing both the power of renewable energy

and your community. Wherever they appear, Strawberry Treescause a stir and during 15 minutes of charging remind their users

not only of the benets of green technology, but also of the vision

of their builders. Finally, the easily customisable design allows it to

be moulded in the way you wish it to be seen and used by your

consumers and can include several bulletin boards.

It could not be more simple to use. Just sit on the integrated

benches, plug in a mobile phone, multimedia player, or any similar

portable device, and after a few minutes the recharge will be

complete. During the night, the Strawberry Tree uses energyefcient lighting, making it safe to use even after dark.

The Strawberry Mini is a small portable solar charger for

mobile devices. Thanks to its smaller size, built-in wheels and

independence from external power source, the Strawberry Mini

can beset up quickly in almost any location.

To make the whole experience more interactive, embedded

touch screens enable users to play games and quizzes about

the the environment and renewable energy while waiting for a

few minutes for their batteries to recharge.

The award-winning inclusion of Strawberry energy at theEuropean Commissions Sustainable Energy Week 2011 called

Strawberry Sunshine
