Filling in your online application form

1. You must register on the Visa 4 UK:

1. If you are travelling with someone you will be prompted to complete the details that appear.

2. Enter the UK address where you will be staying.

If you have not yet secured your accommodation in the UK please enter the University’s main address:

2. If you have travelled to the UK in the last 10 years you will be prompted to provide details of the 5 recent visits.

3. This is most likely to be NO as it refers to a legal situation. It’s different from having left the UK after a holiday for example.

2. If fees have been paid you need to enter how much. Then select how you can prove that they have been paid. If you are applying for the first time we recommend not paying fees upfront, but to show them in your bank account.

3. Please select “NO” for established presence if you are applying for the first time. If you are making a visa extension (if you have completed more than 6 months of your current course) you need to select “YES”.

4. Select “Outside the inner London boroughs.

5. Enter £1,015

6. You can only demonstrate accommodation payment up to £1,265 if you are paying for University accommodation.

7. If you are receiving financial sponsorship you will be asked to provide details.

8. If you are showing both tuition fees and living costs in your bank account please state the exact course fees and maintenance costs (£9,135) and add the two figures together.

9. Ideally the funds will be in your own name. If not only parents’ and legal guardians’ statements can be used, no other relatives or friends.

2. Maintenance £1,015 per month up to 9 months - £9,135.(£680 per month up to 9 months for dependants - £6,120).

OR scholarship letter on headed paper (email a scan to [email protected] to check that this will be acceptable). This must state that your sponsor has no objection to you continuing your studies in the UK.

• Is the statement in YOUR name?• Is the account a cash account? NOT shares/investments/credit

cards/bonds/business accounts• Is it a current or savings account? (Both are acceptable) • Does the statement have the NAME and LOGO of the bank?• Does the statement show the ACCOUNT NUMBER on every page?• If using parents’ statement they need to provide a letter:

• Does it include the date of issue?• Will the money have been in the account for 28 days or

more on the day you will apply for your visa?• Is the date on the statement no more that 31 days before the

date of your application?• What is the lowest balance in this time period? Is it more

than you need to show evidence of?
