Student Presentation
How will RPA affect you?
Your future starts here…
Over the next few years, you have some big decisions to make…
…YOU get to choose the subjects and qualifications you’ll study in
Years 9, 10 and 11.
What you choose will not only affect how you spend your time in education…
…it may also affect the job or college course that you do in the future.
Apprenticeships
A LevelsVocational Training
Employment
Volunteering
Staying in learning…
From 2013, young people will participate in learning for longer- you will get to choose:
• full-time education, maybe at school or college • work-based learning, such as an apprenticeship• part-time education or training, if you are employed, self-employed or volunteering for more than 20 hours a week
Why?
Because By 2020...
… there will be 3 million fewer lower
skilled jobs in the UK economy.
... there will be a 50% increase in the number of jobs which need high level skills.
This means…
You will need to work towards gaining further qualifications and/or training until your 18th birthday to get the career you want.
