Do you need a bachelors degree in business to getinto an MBA degree program?////Goal setting
The short answer is "No" for a variety of reasons.
Not having earned a BBA or business related undergraduate degree
can actually work to your advantage. Some institutions report havingless than 25% of MBA programs composed of students who have an
undergraduate business degree.
A study compared the success of BBA students against non-BBA
students, using individual grade point average as a way ofmeasuring success within a program. On average, students that did
not earn a business degree as an undergraduate had higher grade
point averages than students with an undergraduate business
degree.

Does age affect success in an MBA program?
y The same study concluded that there was a very positive correlation
between a students professional and life experience and their final
grade point average.
y The longer the time the student had spent as working professional,
the better their overall grades. The studys scope did not include the
benefits of classroom diversity; a possible conjecture may be howstudent age, educational and professional backgrounds enhance a
class and its curriculum.

What Is a Better Predictor of Success in an Mba
Program:Work Experience or the Gmat?
y The goal of this study was to determine if work experience might be
a better predictor of success than a GMAT score by examining how
successful students have been in an MBA program in a suburbanmetropolitan university.
y Other characteristics, such as age, gender, race, undergraduate GPA
and undergraduate upper division GPA were also studied.
Preliminary results indicated that significant leadership andadministrative work experience were a better predictor than GMAT
scores in predicting the overall success of students enrolled in an
