His Holiness Vappa Nayagam (as fondly known to his disciples, who have the highest regard and reverence) is highly proficient in Arabic, English, Tamil and Sinhala languages and spiritual literature.

His Holiness’ grand father Jamaliya Mowlana came from Baghdad to India and is entombed at Sambai Pattinam in South India.

Jamaliya Yaseen Mowlana El Hasaniyul Hashimiyee was His father who had authored an explanation to Buhari Shareef, and wrote an exegesis on the spiritual treatise “Insanul Kamil.” His expertise in Arabic was legendary.

H. H. Imam Syed Khaleel Awn Al Hashimiyee Moulana learnt Arabic, Quran, Hadees, Islamic spiritual wisdom the way his father did. His father is entombed in Thirumullaivasal, Tamil Nadu in South India. 

H. H. Imam Sayed Khaleel Awn, has now established Markaz Irfanith Thauheed to show people the path of spiritual wisdom. As majority of Arabic colleges in India are involved only in spiritual education, He established an Arabic college ”Madrasathul Hasanain Fee Jamiya Yaseen,” which along with Islamic spiritual knowledge imparts technical and computer education.
