seated parishioners have gone forward and a council member indicates you
should go ahead.
In receiving Communion, you should place the cloth under your chin, recite your CHRISTIAN NAME, and wipe your mouth after receiving. Women, please remove your lipstick prior to receiving Communion.

PRIEST ENTRANCE HYMN, SECOND TONE
Come let us bow down to Christ and worship Him the Son of God. Save us
O Son of God, who did arise from the dead. We sing to You, alleluia!
RESURRECTIONAL HYMN, SECOND TONE
GREEN BOOK, PAGE 81 – WHEN YOU DESCENDED
HYMN FOR THE HIERARCH, FOURTH TONE
A model of faith and the image of gentleness, the example of your life
has shown you forth to your sheep-fold to be a master of temperance.
You obtained thus through being lowly, gifts from on high, and riches
through poverty. Nicholas, our father and priest of priests, intercede
with Christ our God that He may save our souls.
HYMN FOR THE MEMORIAL, PLAGAL FOURTH TONE
Remember Your servants, O Lord, since You are good, and forgive their every
sin in this life; for no one is without sin, except You who are able to give rest to
the departed.
HYMN FOR THE CHURCH, PLAGAL FOURTH TONE
GREEN BOOK, PAGE 115 – O BLESSED ARE YOU…
KONTAKION OF THE FOREFEAST, THIRD TONE
The Virgin comes today, unto a cave, to give birth ineffably to the Word pre-
eternal. Hearing this, be of good cheer, all earth and its people; glorify Him,
with the angels and the shepherds, whose will was to appear, as a young
Child, the Pre-eternal God.

Epistle Reading
St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 13:17-21
Brethren, obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are
keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give
account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be
of no advantage to you. Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a
clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. I urge you
the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you
the sooner. Now may the God of peace who brought again from the
dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood
of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you
may do His will, working in you that which is pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Gospel Reading
Luke 13:10-17
At that time, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
And there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years;
she was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. And when Jesus
saw her, he called her and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your
infirmity." And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was
made straight, and she praised God. But the ruler of the synagogue,
indignant because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, said to the people,
"There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days
and be healed, and not on the sabbath day." Then the Lord answered
him, "You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or
his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to water it? And ought not
this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen
5
years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?" As he said this, all
his adversaries were put to shame; and all the people rejoiced at all the
glorious things that were done by him.

Currently in Greece, all are facing financial difficulties; however
there are families that also have to deal with the extremely serious
health problems that their children are facing.
The Greek Make-a-Wish Foundation is asking students to support
them by participating in the “Wish Star Program.”
This way they will enrich the fight of less fortunate children
with hope, strength and joy.

MISSION BLANKETS
We are currently communicating with Fr. Alaniz in Anjara, Jordan
about the logistics of sending our 32 blankets to the children of the Mother of
Hope Orphanage where he is the director. As soon as the details have been
arranged we will ship them.
He has sent his blessings and appreciation in advance to all of you
who have contributed to this effort, as well as our entire church. He is
expressing great happiness in anticipation of receiving these "presents" for
the children.
Thank all of you who have given of your time, talent and treasure
toward the orphans in Jordan.
Now, while we start thinking about Christmas shopping, let's
consider adding an orphan to our list. In spring next year we plan to reach
out to a brand new children's home being started in Sierra Leone, West
Africa. This is being done by another Orthodox priest in response to
the aftermath of the Ebola crisis. It will be our 10th shipment, and we thank
God for blessing us so that we in turn, can bless these precious children.
WAYS YOU CAN GIVE:
Ready- made twin blankets
Hand made twin blankets
Gently-used twin blankets
Spools of ribbon or trim
Checks made out to HTGOC (for shipping)
"Mission Blankets" in memo line.
Look for the box in the church hall marked "Mission Blankets."

Happy 100th Anniversary Holy Trinity! Now what? What got us to this point? How
did we keep moving forward? What was it that moved our community to continue
to grow?
Commitment - Commitment to our faith. Commitment to our culture.
Commitment to our future. We just celebrated the commitment of those that came
before us. 50 or 100 years from now, what commitment will be celebrated? What
will we give the future generations to celebrate about?
Let’s not disappoint those future generations. Let’s be committed.
