RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Religious Education Registration 2017-2018
The parish Religious Education Office is registering
students for the 2017-2018 season. Registration forms
were mailed to the parents of all the children who
participated in the program during the 2016-2017
season. Please fill out the forms and return them to the
office by August 15, 2017.
Registration forms for all new students are
available in the parish office.
First Day of Class
All Religious Education classes for grades
one through ten will begin on Saturday,
September 9th
. Classes will take place from
9:00 to 10:15 AM.
Parent Meetings
Parents with children in grades nine and ten [The
Confirmation Program] will meet with Father Anthony
on August 26th
from 9:00 to 10:15 AM in the school. At
least one parent is to attend this meeting with their
child.
Parents with children in grades one through eight
will meet with Father Anthony on September 16th
from
9:00 to 10:15 AM in the school. At least one parent is
to attend this meeting.
Teachers’ Meeting
A meeting for all teachers, teachers’ aides and hall
monitors with the Religious Education Program will
take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9:00 AM
till Noon. Please plan on attending.

ŁAGODNY POWIEW BOGA
Ktoś powiedział, że ludzkie życie to stąpanie po kruchym lodzie albo próba chodzenia po wodzie. Dzisiaj, gdy czytamy w Ewangelii o Jezusie i Piotrze, którzy chodzą po wodzie, ta prawda życiowa staje się dla nas pierwszorzędnym przesłaniem.
To „życiowe stąpanie” po wodzie bez Jezusa jest absolutnie niemożliwe. Obecność Chrystusa w życiu człowieka daje mu poczucie bezpieczeństwa, pewności i stabilizacji. Dopóki Piotr szedł wpatrzony w Jezusa, to nic złego mu nie groziło. Widok silnego wiatru spowodował strach i nieszczęście. Tonięcie to nic innego jak zagubienie i rozpacz. Często życie wpędza nas w rozpacz, zagubienie i wtedy jak najszybciej winniśmy uchwycić się wyciągniętej ręki Jezusa i przyznać się do słabej i małej wiary. A dlaczego jest ona taka słaba i mała? Jak traktujemy w swoim życiu Pana Boga? Kim On dla nas jest? Czy za Nim tęsknimy, czy Go szukamy? Słyszeliśmy też dziś opowieść o Eliaszu, który spotkał się z Bogiem. Nie był to Bóg w gwałtownym wietrze, w trzęsieniu ziemi, ani w ogniu. Bóg był dla Eliasza łagodnym szmerem powiewu wiatru. Bóg chce być dobry i łagodny. I kiedy Go prosimy: „Panie, ratuj!”, to za każdym razem pomaga nam wyjść z tarapatów. I pyta: „Czemu zwątpiłeś?”.
VINCENTIAN 400TH ANNIVERSARY The priests who serve at St. Stanislaus Parish are members of the Congregation of the Mission [Vincentian Priests and Brothers]. This year the Congregation of the Mission celebrates its 400th anniversary. Founded by St. Vincent de Paul on January 25, 1625, the Congregation of the Mission and the Vincentian Family are dedicated to the pastoral and corporal service to the poor. PARISH PICNIC
We would like to let you know that our annual Parish
Picnic/Harvest Festival will be held at PNA Park, 171 N. Plains
Rd., Wallingford, CT., 06492 on Sunday, September 10, 2017
from 1 P.M. till 8 P.M. The event will include delicious Polish-
American food, music by the Dennis Polisky Polka Band from
1-5 PM, and by a DJ from 5:30-8 PM. There will be a Parish
Raffle at the Picnic. The tickets are a bargain $2.00 each or
$40.00 a book of 20 Raffle Tickets. The Picnic gives us the
opportunity to raise funds for the Parish. Have a great time,
enjoying the Polish-American music and Polish and American
food throughout the afternoon. We look forward to seeing you
there! I ask each member of the parish to support this parish
event by buying the raffle tickets or selling them to your
relatives, friends or co-workers. Return whatever tickets you
don’t sell along with your check and the stubs of those that are
purchased. For certain, the Parish Picnic is not only an
opportunity to enjoy ourselves with good food and games, but it
provides an opportunity to get to know each other better as well
as to strengthen our Parish Community. We cordially invite you
