Welcome and Presentation of attendees
Brigitte Ollier (UITP, Director EU Projects Unit) opened the meeting and welcomed all the participants. Subsequently, all participants introduced themselves. Caroline Hoogendoorn is replacing Sebastian Emig as European Projects Manager and namely concerning MODsafe. Minor changes in the sequence of the presentation were introduced and WP3 was not going to be presented.

Presentation of the MODsafe project and project structure
TRIT presented the idea behind MODsafe, explained why the project was needed and what the expected project results were. He also provided an overview of project size, structure, and participating partners.

Presentation of the MODsafe Work Packages (WP) by the WP leaders
Nine WP leaders presented the WP managed by them, as follows:
- WP1 Description of the State of the Art (INRETS)
- WP2 MODSafe Hazards and Risks Analysis (TUD)
- WP4 Common Safety Requirements (TelSys)
- WP5 Functional and Object oriented Safety Model (TUD)
- WP6 Safety Life Cycle Responsibilities (TRIT)
- WP7 Acceptance, Approval, Certification (BME)
- WP8 Level of sophistication and relevant technology of security surveillance systems (UITP)
- WP9 Global approach for Integrated security needs (UITP)
- WP12 Dissemination and Exploitation (UITP)
The presentations included the objectives and tasks of each WP, timescale and key deliverables.

Concluding remarks YA informed the operators that: - their feedback was welcome on different documents
(to start, DC has send them the draft deliverable D6.1. for comments – deadline: January 8th – comments to be sent directly to RATP and TRIT)
- they can participate in different working groups (if they wish to do so, they must contact CH)
- CH was their contact point if they had any questions ([email protected])
The next network of operators will be held in Brussels (UITP premises) on May 27th.
