Marvelous Math: Geometry

Students have been investigating geometric shapes with geo boards and tangrams. Foam shapes were used to design their dream home! (MAFS.2.G.1.1-Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or equal faces.)

KETTERLINUS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM NEWSLETTER MS. Wk. of Feb. 5-9, 2018

February is Black History Month. Students will evaluate the contributions of various African Americans ( SS.2.C.2.5).

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Poster Contest

In January, students recognized the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as they created posters in class to reflect their learning. Completed posters were entered into our school (K-3) contest, sponsored by the SJEA. The four students selected to go on to district judging included Camryn and Mabel. Camryn was a semi-finalist, and Mabel received recognition as one of five district finalists. They are invited to a celebration at the Fullerwood Auditorium on Feb. 8. Congratulations, and thank you for representing Ketterlinus.
