The Scottish Sustainable Development Forum (SSDF) / Climate Challenge Fund Community Action Support Programme (CASP) are organising three regional events leading from the Climate Challenge Fund Gathering in 2011.

Main objectives: to raise awareness about the Earth Summit, create realistic visions of individual communities and how to plan for it, to record participant’s aspirations for the future of their community to feed into the Green Dreams initiative and to offer an opportunity for community groups in the local area to network with one another.

These half-day events will be held in 3 different locations across Scotland and will contain the following:

◦ Case Studies – from a community group who have completed the visioning process and have come up with a sustainability plan for the future of their community.

◦ Adaptation Scotland Workshop – Discovering the physical and environmental effects of climate change in your respective communities

◦ Visioning Workshops – An opportunity for community groups to develop their own sustainability plan for their individual communities with the support of Adaptation Scotland and SSDF

◦ Green Dreams Recording – Your opportunity to answer the question ‘What is your dream for a sustainable future in Scotland and the World?’
