without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs’. Sustainable Waste Management Sustainable waste management aims to address the long term pressures
through the recovery, recycling, and reuse of resources, and the minimisation of waste streams.
This includes the management of resources in an environmentally sound and economically effective manner.
NEED OF RESEARCH Future Generation Sustainable Waste Management is crucial issue that needs governmental attention
immediately, the practices used in our country to generate waste are hazardous not only for ourselves but for future.
Environment The effect that waste has on our natural environment and ultimately on the quality of
our life is a major concern ; Protecting the environment. Pollution Ensuring effective waste collection coverage leads to the reduction of air, noise and
soil pollution.

GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES
Aim to enhance and protect public health and safety. Aim to provide a safer working environment; Enhancing the
communities where we work and live. Aim to minimise waste generation and the environmental impact of
waste treatment and disposal and to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements.
CONCLUSION A continuing rise in the rate of waste production is no longer
acceptable. It is essential that governments and corporations face up to waste,
using what we know about reduction, recycling and reuse, but also developing new technologies that eliminate waste.
