Cromleigh Textured

Cromleigh Textured slates have a structured surface with dressed edges that recreates the appearance of traditional natural slate. This traditional looking slate is available in an attractive blue-black and Welsh blue colour which is similar in appearance to the famous Blue Bangor slates. Cromleigh Textured is available in the traditional 600 mm x 300 mm but also available in an attractive 400 mm x 240 mm to give the appearance of smaller natural slates on your roof.

Cromleigh Textured slates have successfully been used on many

private houses and developments throughout Ireland over the last 25 years, proving popular with clients and architects alike.

Cromleigh Textured slates have a multi layer acrylic based coating on both their edges and surface highly counteracting the growth of moss. The slates have a nominal thickness of 4,2 mm.

Cromleigh Textured slates achieve the highest class, class B in accordance with EN 492. All Cromleigh slates have a 30 year structural guarantee and a 20 year colour guarantee!

Cromleigh Smooth

A new addition to the Cromleigh range of slate from SVK - Cromleigh Smooth has a smooth surface fi nish with dressed edges that gives the appearance of a natural slate but with all the benefi ts of SVK fi bre cement slate. This new addition to the Cromleigh range has the same high quality standard one has come to expect from SVK over the years.

Cromleigh Smooth achieves the highest class, class B in accordance with EN 492 and is available in blue-black only.

Supplied with a manufacturers 30 year structural guarantee and a 20 year colour guarantee, it makes the SVK Cromleigh Smooth slate a sure winner for the Irish market!

Cromleigh Rustic, is a rectangular textured fi bre cement slate with square edges also giving the appearance of traditional natural slate to any roof.

Cromleigh Rustic provides a traditional appearance which blends easily into any landscape.

Cromleigh Rustic is one of the most cost effective solutions for your roof when you wish to create the appearance of a traditional roofi ng slate.

• Strongest ridges

SVK ridges are the strongest ridges on the market. No other ridge comes close to our values concerning bending strength. This is achieved because SVK is the only manufacturer who presses their ridges during production. Because we press our ridges, we achieve a much higher volume mass and bending strength.

• Very durable

SVK ridges are very durable. Because they are pressed, our ridges obtain a much higher density than ridges which are manually manufactured. This high density also largely diminishes the water absorption. The low water absorption rules out that our ridges would deform or suffer frost damage.

• Quality of the paint coat

The quality of the paint coat on our ridges is unequalled. SVK has more than 70 years of experience in preparation and application of paint. This technical ability and the fact that our ridges have a very low water absorption, enables us to produce ridges with an extraordinary UV-resistance and an unequalled adhesion of the paint.

SVK has invested in a state of the art production line for the production of ridges. All SVK ridges are injected in a mould and fully compressed during their production. This production method results in ridges of unsurpassed quality.

• Manufacture

SVK slates are composed of a homogeneous mixture of Portland cement, selected reinforcement fi bres of superior quality, additives and water.

• Colour

SVK slates are available in Welsh blue, blue-black and

premium black. The slates have a multi layer acrylic based coating highly counteracting the growth of moss.

• Supply

All SVK slates are delivered on wooden pallets fully encased and shrink wrapped. Slates are strapped in bundles for ease of use.

• Ridges

SVK supply fi bre cement ridges in blue-black, Welsh blue and premium black to compliment the SVK range of slates.

• Guarantee

SVK slates meet the requirements of EN 492.

All SVK slates have a 30 year manufacturer backed structural guarantee if fi xed in accordance with the Irish Code of Practice

ICP 2:2002 and our Technical Information.

Cromleigh and Ardonit Plus slates have a 20 year colour guarantee, Ardonit slates have a 10 year colour guarantee.

• Storage and transport

SVK slates should not be allowed to become wet during storage or transport as this may cause effl orescence staining as a result of water accumulating between the slates surfaces. If stored outside for short periods, the hood should be removed and the slates should be covered with a vapour-open, watertight tarpaulin.

• Lead

Patination oil should be applied immediately to all lead detail on the roof to reduce the risk of staining to SVK slates.
