Thirty-one ornamental street lights and 20 stan- dard cobra head street lights will be outfitted with the new LED bulbs, and four new standard cobra head LED street lights will be installed. The lighting up- grade is a part of the City's existing work plans within the Lincoln International Business District. It is es- timated to cost approximately $125,000. Additionally, $4.3 million has been set aside for improvements to the Lincoln International Business District this bien- nium. in the Lincoln International Business District will soon glimmer with new light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, City of Tacoma of� cials announced Monday.

Thirty-one ornamental street lights and 20 stan-dard cobra head street lights will be out� tted with the new LED bulbs, and four new standard cobra head LED street lights will be installed. The lighting up-grade is a part of the City's existing work plans within the Lincoln International Business District. It is es-timated to cost approximately $125,000. Additionally, $4.3 million has been set aside for improvements to the Lincoln International Business District this bien-nium.

Work begins today, and will take place along South 38th Street from Tacoma Avenue South to South Thompson Avenue, and along South Yakima Avenue from South 38th to South 39th streets. Work is pro-jected to be completed in approximately two weeks. Minimal traf� c impacts are anticipated while the new LED lighting is being installed.

"The new LED lights will change the face of this area bordered by an attractive neighborhood, beauti-ful Lincoln Park, and historic Lincoln High School," said Tacoma City Councilmember Marty Campbell. "I, along with the community, look forward to seeing them."

Tacoma-Pierce County has announced its annual list of Top 10 economic development projects and investments during 2014.

The list includes Bass Pro Shops, Boeing, Gar-� eld Station, James Hardie Building Products, MultiCare Health System, Portside Business Center, Sierra Paci� c Industries, South Sound 911, Toray Composites, and the University Y Student Center.

The list was announced during the EDB's an-nual meeting on Wednesday at the Greater Taco-ma Convention and Trade Center in downtown Tacoma.

Similarly, the 2015 Golden Shovel Award was presented to the Port of Tacoma and the Port of Seattle for their Seaport Alliance partnership.
