WorkKankakee is an initiative of the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County in cooperation with the Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board, Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley, local and regional employers, K-12 and post-secondary educational institutions, and civic and professional organizations.
Together, we are strengthening Kankakee County’s current and emerging workforce pipeline and aligning that talent with local career opportunities across various industry sectors, including:

KANKAKEE COUNTY IN-COMMUTER STUDYA qualitative assessment of in-commuters’ outlook on Kankakee County livability. Data was gathered in Q2 2019 through employer round table discussions. Livability factors raised include housing, education, security, aesthetics, civic life, arts and culture, recreation and cost.
