CREATIVE DIRECTOR AWW FOOD

CONCEPTUALIZED a new magazine titled AWW Food made entirely from repurposed content to minimize expense. Oversaw design and marketing to launch and promote across print, digital and social campaigns. Now published in 4 countries.

EXCEEDED sales target 5% with launch issue.INITIATED new format book Slow Cooker The Complete Collection using same repurposing model, ended up the No.1 best seller for 2015 with 100% copies sold in 3 weeks and launched a new series.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR BAUER MEDIA BOOKS

LED team of 6 designers and freelancers across editorial and marketing. Turned a small company making 12 books per year into Australia's largest cookbook publisher with 60 titles and print runs exceeding 100K (500% above industry standard).HIRED new photographers, stylists to modernize all new photography and redesigned all titles.IDENTIFIED the publishing industry's declining sales due to readers moving online. Responded by evolving design and formats, making them coffee-table gift items with lavish photography and tactile covers, this resulted in 30% profit growth 6 years.EXECUTED change of copyright ownership from photographer to publisher eliminated re-use fees.
