Smart materials change according to changes in their environment.
Smart materials
Thermochromic materials change colour when they reach a certain temperature.
Photochromic materials change colour with a change in the light.
Shape memory alloys change shape at set temperatures.
Piezoelectric materials generate electricity when placed under mechanical stress.
Magnetorheological fluids change state when put in a magnetic field.
Polymorph is used for making models as it can be reformed.
