I feel that not all students learn the same way. I learn better from simplified instructions. I watched the video titled Normal Model Example 1. The concept that I learned was the area under a curve for any normal distribution. This concept is also found in chapter 6 of my business statistics book on page 233 and 234. This video was helpful for me in solving homework problem number 8 in chapter 6. Both of the givens were the same on the video and the homework problem. I feel that the video explained the topic better than the book on this concept. The video gave more examples on how to correctly gather and interpret the information from the given diagram. The video also helped the words from the book come to life in my thinking box.
The second video that I watched was the one titled Statistics: Z-score. The concept that I learned in this video was computing probabilities for any normal probability distribution. This concept is found in chapter 6 of my business statistics book on page 238. This video was helpful for me in solving homework problem number 13. I feel that the book explained this concept better than the video. The book gives more detailed information than the video did. The video was too short and did not spend enough time on the concept for me to get a clear understanding. Everyone learns at a different pace and from different methods. My statistics teacher told the class that we can use her slides, the book, a tutor, or resources in the library to help use learn statistics. If you truly want to learn, you must first put forth the effort. I feel that true learning starts with the desire to want to learn.

Reading the book, I have had problems understanding the purpose of the Chapter, however, watching the video afterwards I now have a very clear understanding of the subject matter. The video does not focus on z-scores but shows another way to approach these type of problems by using the calculator, which I personally found to be much easier then using the z-scores.
In the YouTube video Statistics: Z-score, I learned the concept of computing probabilities for normal probability distributions. This concept is also discussed in our text book in chapter 6, section 2, page 238. This concept can be applied to solve method #10 on page 241. Once again I found that the YouTube video was a much easier resource to learn from than the text book. With the YouTube video the step by step process used to solve a given problem felt clearer and concise compared to the text book which offers excess information with unfamiliar vocabulary that leaves me confused.

The video I chose was Video #1 Normal Model Example part 1. I learned how to draw standard deviations on either sides of the mean. The page number that would connect the video to the book is page 233. The video would help with problem number 10 on page 241. I feel that the video best explained the topic. I say this because I am a visual learner I need to see things worked out instead of reading.
The video I watched was the Normal Model Example part 1. In this video I learned how to more efficiently work with a normal curve graph by learning how to plot the mean, the standard deviations, and working problems that are in relation to the graph. This video taught me the contents of pages 232-233 of my Business Statistics book. I can apply the knowledge learned from this video on the problem 10(Pg 241 Methods), because it involves drawing a graph, and using the standard deviations to solve the problem. In my opinion, I learned more from the video because the lady took her time, and went step by step to demonstrate the process on how to graph and plot a Normal Probability Distribution.
