TEAM KHANADA

The Mongol Rally is a charity rally covering 16,000+ kms ( 1/3 of the earth), crossing mountians, navigating deserts, passING through some of the most remote terrain on the planet , TRAVELLING from London, England, to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with no set route and no back up in a 1 Litre vehicle.

The rules of the Rally are

gloriously simple.

1. You can only take a farcically small vehicle2. You’re completely on your own3. You’ve got to raise at least $2000 for charity

“Modern Life has become to comfortable, we say bollocks

to that!” This is the motto of the Mongol Rally where they state

that ‘If nothing goes wrong, everything has gone wrong’.

The RallyAfter 3 years of talking about doing the rally and 1 year of planning the rally, we are doing just that, The Mongol Rally!

The Mongol Rally is an entirely unsupported rally race from the UK to Mongolia. There is no defined route, only a vague time limit, and the only goal is to cross the finish line in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Teams from all over the world converge in Europe each July, packed into tiny cars with no larger than a one litre capacity engine and set off on the most foolishly ill-conceived and wonderfully crazy adventure, all for the sake of a lifetime of stories and to add to the running total of approximatly $4 million raised for a variety of charities around the world. The Mongol Rally started in 2004, and every year since then, teams have signed up to drive 16,000+ km across two continents, risking life and limb and committed to raising at least $2000 each for charity.

The RouteThe proposed route is an un-route. The organizers give you a start point and a finish point but where you go or what you do in between is entirely up to our steaming bag of adventuring magic. We are not gonna spend too long planning our route or poring over useful maps or guidebooks. We plan to find out what’s there when we arrive and unleash the unexpected.

Matt Stan dish Age: 32

Primary Role - Team’s Brain (at least half)

As resourceful as he is handsome. Matt is an entrepreneur at heart and is skilled in the area of thick beard growth. It should fare well on this adventure. Matt has a BBA in business and loves to snowboard, surf, travel and see what’s out there.

With a slight knack for getting into trouble and driven by the question of “what’s next” all signs have pointed to the mongol rally.

Derreck TravisAge: 32

Primary Role - Team Mechanic (by default)

Derreck is easily confused and not known for his hygiene during travel. After recently completing his master’s degree in architecture he is looking for a new adventure that continues to develop his love of everything art and design.

An adventurer from an early age A proud member of Team Khanada and excited to spend six weeks exploring and photographing the journey to share with anybody who will listen upon return. Derreck has also graciously accepted the role as the team mechanic relying on his extensive knowledge and years of experience using of duct take and zip ties.

Cool Earth is the charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. Cool Earth doesnt create reserves or put up fences. They don’t buy land. Instead,they put indigenous people back in control of the world’s most endangered rainforest.These people have lived in the forest for countless generations. By building better incomes, better schools and better clinics, we give our partner villages the resources they need to keep their forest intact.

Cool Earth is now working alongside 65 rainforest villages throughout the world.These partner villages are protecting over 350,000 acres of forest that lie directly in the path of chainsaws and bulldozers. The clever part is that this forest is forming a shield to make the neighbouring forest inaccessible to loggers – saving millions of acres of further forest.

The CauseMongol Rally is not just about having an insane trip. It’s also about making the world a better place. Each team participating in the Mongol Rally is required to raise at least $2000 for charity, The charities we will be supporting are below.

One in three British Columbians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Because the BC Cancer Agency integrates research and treatment, the process from discovery to treatment is shorter, and researchers are asking questions focused on the needs of patients in BC. The BC Cancer FOundation makes a tangible difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Findings from the outstanding research that takes place at the BC Cancer Agency are providing cancer patients in B.C. with some of the best outcomes in the country, if not the world.

The cost of the trip is prohibitivly expensive, upwards of $25,000. As a result, we are looking for sponsorship to help cover some of the costs of participating in the rally as well as raise as much money for charity as possable. Some of the costs are outlined below.

Sponsorship DetailsIn exchange for sponsorship we are able to offer the following:

Before + After The Rally – Branding, Logo + Product Placement / during the lead up, fundraisers, parties, events, photo book, e book, presentations after, word of mouth, kick starter, and media coverage (magazine, newspaper, logos on the website).

During The Rally – Content Creation / we will be constantly creating content during the rally to post on our website and social media. These posts will include product placement of gear in use, blogs about the gear in use within the posts. As well as brand logos on the vehicle.

Charity – in supporting us you are supporting our charities of choice, therefore there will be thank you to sponsors for the help in making the rally and donations possible.

The Details:

1. 2. Vehicle decals will need to be provided to Team Khanada. Not only will this advertise your company throughout europe and central asia, but more importantly appear in all the media we will be posting. The larger the donation, the larger the opportunity for prime logo placement.
