Techmakers.Let’s create the
Internet of Things
together…
We identified an opportunity
More and more people are willing to create their own project: Etsy = 1 million artisan sellers Kickstarter = 42,000 projects.
… But there is no specific place for technological inventions.
There is a growing interest in the Internet of Things:
Within 10 years, it is expected to grow from 9 to 50 billion devices (MC Kinsey 2013 study).
It will generate millions of businesses opportunities.
… But it is very fragmented & complex (no marketplace, small companies).

The opportunity? There has been a sharp increase in the amount of small
makers that are creating and selling connected devices on their own. And, increasingly, the mass market consumer is becoming more connected and more interested in buying “smart devices”
We ran a survey among technological product makers to understand their challenges & needs
“I’d love to get support from a technology
company”
“It is difficult to get funding for
innovative projects”
« Our immediate challenge is to
grow our customer base »
“It is hard to pick the right
people to work with”
Our idea? To create a place to help i) makers bring
their Internet of Things devices to life and ii) customers to co-design, fund or buy them.
