Telemed Mobile walkthrough

DISCLAIMER: Bayless Telemed Team has done our best to recreate and capture the process for accessing your Telemed appointment. While most steps will be the same, due to the nature of all mobile devices your

experience may vary depending on the device you’re using.

(You will always be downloading the ZOOM app regardless of the device you are on)

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE ZOOM app you can skip to Step 5

1. Tap the link from the Bayless Telemed email to download the ZOOM application to your IOS, Android, or windows device.

2. Use “install plugin” link to begin downloading ZOOM.

3. Use the fist link option to download ZOOM for your device. (If your device app store is not the first

option please scroll for additional options) You will be taken to the app store for your device to download the app

NOTE: ZOOM is available on IOS Android and windows devices. You can also search directly in their respective stores to download the app.

4. Install and download ZOOM Cloud Meetings -- When finished installing please return to “Welcome to

your Telemedicine visit”

5. Open your Telemed appointment by taping the arrow button.

6. Tap “I agree” button to agree to our terms and condition.

7. Tap “Enter Waiting room” to join the virtual waiting room. You will need to wait for the provider to be ready before you can join the meeting.

8. Wait for the provider to be ready for you. (NOTE: You have not joined the appointment or meeting yet and you will have to join AGAIN when the provider is ready. The on-screen prompt will change

once your provider has joined the meeting.)

9. Tap the “Join” button to join your appointment when prompted.

You MAY be prompted to download ZOOM again. If you have already downloaded ZOOM please continue to “Join Meeting” You will be taken to the app after that and asked again to “Join with Video”

10. Enter a screen name for yourself (First and Last name preferred) and tap OK.

11. Select “Call via device audio” to be able to talk with your provider in the meeting. (NOTE: If this doesn’t appear for you and you cannot see the menu, tap the screen and select your audio settings.)

12. You have officially started your Telemed Appointment. (NOTE: The bottom bar in the below picture is hidden when not in use. To make it appear you will need to tap your screen once)

ZOOM is a very versatile app that provides a wide variety of option and setting. Bayless Integrated Healthcare encourages you to explore your setting, especially if you encounter any issues with connection to video or

audio during your appointment.

If your provider cannot hear you, they may try sending you a chat with some help. If you encounter an audio issue check the chat located in the “More” option in the bottom menu.

The following images and directions are simple tips and tricks for using the ZOOM app.

You can HIDE or UNHIDE the menu bar at the bottom of your screen by tapping any blank space. Please be aware of the 3 dots now visible at the bottom of the screen. These will indicate which screen you

are viewing; you can access other views by swiping left or right.

- Center dot indicates the default middle view, this has a large video of the other person in the meeting.

- Left dot indicates Safe Driving Mode and is VOICE ONLY. If you select to NOT start your meeting

with video, this is the screen that will appear

- Right dot indicates a multi-view, so you can see your provider and yourself in equal size videos.
