Om Shalom Yoga is an experience which celebrates Jewish prayer through the moving meditation of a Vinyasa flow yoga class. Weaving Jewish text and philosophies with yogic wisdom, this moving prayer gives participants a spiritual way to deepen their experience. Working traditional versions of Jewish prayers into modern, electronica arrangements composed and recorded for this flow, Om Shalom Yoga creates the moving, rhythmic space and a unique opportunity to share life as God intended… in the present moment.
In addition to the electronica versions of the prayers, classes feature music from both emerging and established Jewish and Israeli artists, as well as inspiring, powerful, and uplifting songs from the popular and world music cannons. Musically, Om Shalom Yoga is anchored by leader Zack Lodmer’s clarinet, as he plays songs, prayers, and other Jewish musical meditations throughout. You may know Zack as the clarinet player at the Roven Family Shabbat Unplugged. His involvement in our monthly Shabbat services helped guide his spiritual journey that lead him to create Om Shalom.
Bring your yoga mat, towel, and water, and dress in comfortable exercise clothes. No seats, no books, no stress.

The Pillar Members of our community voluntarily contribute an additional amount above full dues. Their donations are a significant support for the Temple, enabling us to fund important programs and services to our synagogue community.
In addition to the benefits of full membership, they receive priority entry and seating for High Holy Days, along with complimentary parking. Pillar members are invited to special select events during the year as guests of Temple Emanuel and have their names displayed in the foyer of the Sanctuary.
To become a Pillar Member, contact Julie Macht, Director of Development: 310.409.4635, [email protected]
