Tennessee
Benchmarks with Comprehensive Reports
Providing valuable and specific data for teachers and administrators on progress of
students, classes, and grades
CASE Assessments, developed by TE21, Inc., provides grade level benchmark assessments for grades kindergarten through high school aligned to Tennessee state standards. Teachers and administrators who administer CASE Assessments like the fact that our benchmark questions are designed to mirror state test questions, and detailed reports provide rich data to help teachers determine students’ progress and identify the need for redirecting instruction or intervention solutions.
Of paramount value to teachers and administrators are the reports that can be accessed online on a secure website within 48 hours after CASE receives their students’ answer documents. These reports provide class, school, and district data on overall projected achievement levels, suggested grades for students on a 100-pt. scale, thinking skills, curriculum standards, reading genres, and percent correct. Individual student reports also are available.
Alignment of AssessmentsCASE questions are tightly aligned to the TNReady standards/indicators for language arts and mathematics, and state standards for science and social studies.
CASE Assessments: Providing Data to Target Instruction
CASE curriculum directors, all former teachers and curriculum administrators, analyze state-released tests and other state curriculum standards, along with district checklists (if available) or CASE Pacing Guides to ensure that questions reflect the state assessments. Questions then are submitted for multiple content and grammar quality checks before they are placed on a benchmark assessment.
CASE Assessments can be administered online or paper/pencil. Districts complete Content Checklists for mathematics, science, and social studies or use checklists based on CASE Pacing Guides (free to partner schools/districts) for each course.

CASE Assessments develops tests to ensure that students have the knowledge they need to succeed on the ACT. The CASE College/Career READY Assessment provides diagnostic data on 39 points as compared to 12 points of data from the ACT.
CASE diagnostic reports provide data on student achievement levels from minimum (not college/career ready) to advanced (above college/career ready). Schools and districts use the CASE diagnostic reports to determine how well students are likely to perform on the ACT. Schools also receive reports by subjects for Professional Learning Communities to use to improve instruction.
The CASE ACT prep test can be administered online or paper/pencil.
College/Career READY Assessment
Readers of District Administration chose CASE Assessments as a 2014 Readers’ Choice Top 100 product, the second year for this award. CASE Assessments also won the 2014 EdTech Digest Cool Tool Award for the Assessment Solutions category.
