Dear Parents and Carers, Welcome back and a very Happy New Year to you all! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday. I have enjoyed listening to all of the pupils news and it sounds as though they have been kept very busy. We had a very busy term 2 with an Ofsted visit (in the pages of this newsletter is the Evening Post article dated 22.12.14), staff and pupils returned from their visit to Kenya, we raised money for Children in Need and Save the Children and we saw lots of parents and carers support us in the Christmas assemblies and shows. Thank you. This term we have lots of exciting events, theme and trips. To give you a favour of what is happening; we will be launching our new website, our theme this term is CSI, we have an Options Evening planned for year 9 & 11 and we have some staff and pupils flying to Poland for a history trip. Please read on for more information. So there is lots planned and there is only 5 weeks left of the term. If you would like to discuss any matters further please contact me. Malago Malago schools were in the spotlight last term with three Ofsted inspections falling within the same week. Bedminster Down, KnowleDGE and Parson Street were all featured in the Bristol Post for their ‘good’ Ofsteds. Bedminster Down and Parson Street were visited by ‘Made in Bristol TV’ who wanted to see what goes into reaching this stan-dard. We were also featured in a significant slot on BBC Radio Bristol at the beginning of January. For the partnership, planning work continues towards our joint sports and arts events in the summer.
