What’s left of the roman aqueducts in The city of mérida, españa. These would carry water from the faraway river to the city. Storks (Cigueñas) have built

huge nests on top & this contributed to the partial destruction.

Another section of the aqueduct in mérida, españa

• This section of the aqueduct would continue carrying water to the central part of the city

• Most of the arches that were part of the supports have been destroyed by time, weather, the storks and other elements.

• These aqueducts were sometimes many miles long
