Soo Seng is a test preparation instructor at The Edge Learning Center. An educator with an engineering background, he has worked in the education field for 5 years. He mastered all his tests not merely by acquiring the fundamental knowledge of the subjects, but also by adopting unique strategies, formulated based on the skills emphasised in the tests and the objectives of the tests administered, to achieve his target scores. Having accomplished all his academic goals, he is excited to impart his knowledge to students, which includes sharing his proven skills and strategies with his SAT and ACT students.

Victoria Ling BBA (NUS)SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS and English Literature

Victoria has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Upon graduation, she joined the IT and Telco corporate industry. For the past 8 years, Victoria has been a foreign English teacher in Vietnam and China, culminating vast experience in Test Preparation Coaching, specialising in Test Prep subjects such as SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC and SAT Subject (English Literature). Victoria has been able to help many Chinese students transit into the English-speaking world by accelerating their language acquisition process and test preparation strategies and techniques.

Iris Yao BSc (NUS)Mathematics

Iris worked at an international school in Singapore for many years, part-time during her NUS days and full-time after graduation. She specialises in test preparation coaching and academic tutoring. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from NUS, majoring in Mathematics. Iris excels at addressing students’ common mistakes,

analysing exam-style questions and delivering answering techniques in a systematic way such that students can easily understand and apply the strategies towards maximising their test scores.

Dr Jerome Lim PhD (NUS), BSc (NTU) Chemistry

Dr Jerome is a dedicated teacher with PhD from NUS and has more than 5 years experience in teaching Chemistry to private and group classes. He engages students through fun and interactive methods to inspire learning.

Dr Sia E.K. PhD (Darmstadt), MSc (NTU), MBA (Strathclyde), BEng (NTU) Mathematics and Physics

Dr Sia is a seasoned teacher of Physics and Engineering with over a decade of experience. He is well liked by high school students of an international school who love that he imparts his vast knowledge and teachings through interesting methodologies.

Shiraz acquired his teaching experience and skills during his formal employment as an Education Officer by the Singapore Ministry of Education, where he taught secondary school students Biology, Chemistry and General Science. He acquired tutelage experience through tutoring both secondary school and JC students in Chemistry, Mathematics and Science.

MathujithaPGDE (UCL), BA (Bard)English Literature

Mathu is currently teaching English Literature and had also taught at Bowen Secondary School. As an educator, Mathu aspires to foster an enlivened classroom that empathises with the lived experiences of humanity.

Our specially designed in-house curriculum and materials enable students to gain solid understanding of all question types and to attain 95th percentile scores or better in their SAT and/or ACT, a prerequisite for getting admitted into top U.S. universities such as the Ivies, Stanford University and MIT.

1. 90% of the Top 100 universities in the U.S. require either the SAT or ACT for admission.

2. They are standardised comparison tools used by Admissions Officers to evaluate students from different schools in different countries.

3. Though not required, they’re useful for admission to universities in other countries, too:

• Singapore and Hong Kong universities accept SAT scores and some require them for

international applications.

• Canadian universities accept ACT scores and may require them for students who have

lower GPAs
