The genre of this artist alternative rock and soul

The black and white poster doesn’t jump out at you but that isn't what alternative rock or soul genres are meant to do. The black and white creates the mood or deep lost love which is typical for this genre. However she is smiling which implies that not all the songs are sad and that there is a happy ending.
