It’s Time t

o

Pick the

Plums!

It was a cold winter, but it's good for the plum farmers. The plum flowers bloomed and thus there are many plum fruits. These fruits were able to become ripe and thus have high percentage of fruit-set-ting because of the stable climate. 120 kg of plum fruits is expected for every plum tree. This yield is 30% higher than which from last year. The total yield from the 300 hectares plum farm is expected to be 1,200 tons.

The plum trees have high economic values. De-pending on the ripeness of the plums, they can be made into more than 20 different types of product: plum extract, prunes, vinegar, wine, jam and even enzyme etc. Now that it's the plum picking period, the local farmers launch prune DIY, aiming to share the joy of plum picking with the tourists.
