About Tea Trader

We are making progress with the new web site which

we are hoping to have in place sometime in the

second quarter of 2018 – just in time to show off the

The strike in Darjeeling finally ended in late

September. We were able to purchase more First

Flush teas to keep our tins full. There will not be any

meaningful production till the first teas of 2018 come

to market, that will be in April. We intend to

Tea is grown at high elevation in the

Blue Mountains, typically above

5000 feet. These teas are brisk,

compared to those of Ceylon.

cocoa bean aroma and has been

hand-roasted in a wok over wood

fire in the traditional way. It takes its

name from its stunning leaf and its

origin on the border of Myanmar. This is a rare
